Vlad Dabija is a technologist, a technology investor, a business strategist and an entrepreneur who has worked in four countries on three continents and has led technology development teams worldwide. He recently served as CEO of Green Border Technologies, Inc, a company he co-founded. Before that, Vlad was a Partner at CMEA Ventures, where he invested in IT early stage start-ups. He has more than 20 years experience in computer technology. At Sun Microsystems, he held positions in corporate development and software architecture and development. Previously at Ashton Tate Corporation, he worked as senior software engineer. Vlad also consulted with numerous high-tech start-up and venture capital firms on business strategy and technology issues.
Vlad holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University, and an MBA with Distinction from The Wharton School of Business where he was named a Palmer Scholar. He also holds a Diplomat Engineer degree in control and computer engineering from the Polytechnic Institute in Bucuresti, Romania where he was Valedictorian of his class and an associate professor for computer programming. Vlad was a teaching fellow for advanced artificial intelligence courses at Stanford University. He is a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 5 and served his fellowship under mentor Gordon Hull at CMEA Ventures in San Francisco, CA. Vlad is co-author of the book “Planning for Real Time Event Response Management,” Prentice Hall, 2000.
